Charlotte's mama envisioned a classic celebration for her first birthday, and I was all too happy to help bring this vision to life.
There were going to be a lot of little friends at this party, so entertainment was key. We focused on the kid table and provided as many activities as possible: custom coloring sheets, play-doh, and bubbles. But because we wanted the table to be both functional and beautiful, we covered those bright yellow play-doh containers with a gingham monogram wrapper and spray painted the bubbles baby blue and pink.
Since this was an early August party in Alabama (and mostly outdoor), I only assumed these paper fans would be needed. But as it turns out, this was one of the most pleasant and windy summer days I can remember!
One of my favorite parts of this party was the food presentation. Because of Covid, we're all trying to be more mindful of how we touch and handle food at gatherings. This has been a fun challenge, and it's provided a great opportunity to get creative and extend the party theme to the food!
We couldn't leave the little ones out! These are puffs and yogurt melts... which we can all agree provide more entertainment than any nutritional value ;)
I used Charlotte's actual silhouette to make these sweet cupcake toppers.
